Activities & Expectations

General Membership:

  • Membership is open to all parents and legally appointed guardians who are in the Spanish Language. 

  • Annual dues are only $25 for a single child and $35 for families with more than 1 child.  Dues are assessed, along with other fundraisers that are held throughout the year, and are used to help fund activities, events, trips and to provide discounts (where applicable for paid members (students). 

*See club president in parent room to make dues payments.

 

Club Leaders:

  • President - Kitty Ellis

    • Leads the meetings and keeps the Parent Committee moving towards their established goals.

  • Vice President - Open

    • Conducts meetings and handles group business in the president’s absence

  • Secretary - Open

    • Takes minutes at the meetings and uploads to website

  • Treasurer - Open

    • Keep accurate records of the Spanish Club Committee’s financial transactions and completes fundraising and/reimbursement forms…when needed.

 

Fundraising Committee:

  • Identify ways to raise funds to offset expenses of activities throughout the year.

 

Activity Coordinating Committee:

  • Identify and plan activities throughout the school year that will enhance the Spanish learning experience. Examples of club activities can include but are not limited to....

    • Arts/Crafts

    • Book Club (Spanish)

    • Hispanic Restaurants

    • Latin Dance Classes

    • Movie Night

    • Food Socials

    • Spanish  Karaoke

 

Cultural Day Committee:

  • Coordination of the Cultural Blast Activities.

Fairs/Parade/Holiday Committee:

  • Engage in planning experiences for the children that will be both education and fun.
